📖 In Ephesians 4:15-16, Christ as the "head" is described as the one from whom the whole body grows and builds itself up. Here, headship signifies organic provision, support, and nourishment, not top-down dominance. Consequently, ecclesiastical headship is viewed as servant-leadership. This perspective opens all levels of church ministry, ordination, and governing leadership to both men and women based on spiritual gifting rather than gender.

From a biblical perspective, correct coping means turning to God in prayer and the truly redeemed Christian community, while incorrect coping means relying on self-sufficiency, avoidance, or sinful behaviors to numb pain…

Correct Coping (God-Centered)

Prayer and Petition: Bringing worries directly to God with thanksgiving instead of carrying them alone (Philippians 4:6–7).

Casting Burdens on God: Trusting that God will sustain you during trials rather than leaning on your own strength (Psalm 55:22).

Seeking True Christian Community: Sharing burdens with fellow believers who walk in the Spirit for mutual encouragement and support (Galatians 6:2).

Meditating on Scripture: Filling your heart with God's truth to renew your mind and combat fear or despair (Romans 12:2).

Incorrect Coping (Self-Centered or Destructive) Anxiety and Fear-Driven Control: Operating out of a spirit of panic rather than trusting God's power and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Numbing and Escapism: Turning to addictions, the desires of the flesh, or worldly habits to mask pain instead of addressing it through the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16).

Isolation: Pulling away from God and the Spirit led Christian community, trying to conquer deep struggles entirely on your own.

Bitter Self-Reliance: Complaining or hardening your heart against God during hardship rather than seeking His refuge (Psalm 46:1).

📖 Biblically speaking, peacekeeping is the passive avoidance of conflict to maintain surface-level calm, while peacemaking is the active, courageous pursuit of true reconciliation and healing rooted in truth and grace.

Peacemaking…

The Call: Jesus declared in Matthew 5:9 (Matthew 5:9), "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

The Approach: Peacemakers step directly into tension, address brokenness, and confront sin or misunderstanding with love.

The Example: Jesus modeled active peacemaking by speaking hard truths, overturning tables when necessary, and ultimately reconciling humanity to God through the cross—bringing deep shalom rather than superficial quiet.

Peacekeeping…

The Approach: Peacekeeping sweeps problems under the rug, suppresses tension, and avoids difficult conversations just to keep people happy.

The Result: It relies on denial and pretense, which sacrifices deep truth and eventually breeds internal resentment or future chaos.

The Limit: While governing authorities are sometimes called to restrain outward chaos, interpersonal peacekeeping avoids the redemptive work of actual healing.

A Moment in God’s Dictionary:

🤔 Can a person live a disobedient, carnally centered life that does not truly represent being holy as God would have it and still be “anointed by God,” i.e., oily (a modern ecclesiastic, subculture slang version)?

Anointed (Mashach):
This Hebrew word means to smear or rub with oil. It shows that a person is set apart for a specific job, like a king or a priest.

Quickening Power:
This refers to the living, active Spirit of God (Ruach in Hebrew) that gives a person strength, wisdom, or authority to lead.

The Question is - Can It Be Removed?

In Hebrew thought, anointing is tied to obedience and a specific duty. It is not always an automatic, permanent guarantee regardless of our chosen behavior…

The Spirit Can Depart:
The Bible shows that God's spirit can leave a person who turns away from His commands.

The Example of King Saul:
Saul was the first anointed king of Israel. Because he disobeyed God's direct orders, the Spirit of the Lord left him, and a distressing spirit troubled him instead.

Loss of the Office:
Saul lost his right to the throne, and the prophet Samuel anointed David to take his place. This proves that the functional status of being God's chosen leader on earth can be forfeited.

Does the Lord expect for His Church to maintain hierarchical pyramids of social power based on spiritual gifts? That is not what “greater” gifts means in 1 Corinthians 12.

In 1 Corinthians 12:31, the King James Version translates the Greek word meizona (meaning "greater" or "larger") as "the best gifts". Paul considers certain gifts greater not because they make a person more holy or spiritually elite, but because they do more to build up and help the entire church community rather than just the individual.

Furthermore…

The Context is Supposed to be (Agapē) Love:

A higher standard: Immediately after mentioning these "best gifts," Paul introduces "a more excellent way"—the practice of Christian love in chapter 13.

Gifts without love: He clarifies that even the most impressive or "greater" abilities are completely meaningless if they lack unselfish love.

It can be uncomfortable to admit past faults or to step briefly into vulnerability, but this vulnerability is the very soil where trust takes root and grows.

To put accountability into action as God intends, consider these steps:
• Show up and do what you say you will do
• Communicate openly and truthfully, even when it’s difficult
• Take responsibility for mistakes without excuses or blaming others
• Ask for and receive feedback with humility
• Demonstrate change through your daily choices
