Church was never meant to be only a place we go.
We are a people Jesus has gathered, changed, and sent.
That means the question isn’t simply, “What do I get from church?” Maybe a better question is: “Because I am part of the Church, what does Jesus want to do through me?”
We gather to worship, pray, grow, encourage one another, and then we go—carrying the Hope who is Christ into the places and relationships God has entrusted to us.
Together, that’s who we are.

As you are going this week, don’t just move through the places you normally go. Notice them. Notice the people you regularly pass.
Learn a name. Ask one more question. Listen a little longer. Offer encouragement. Look for someone who might otherwise go unseen.
You don’t have to add another thing to your calendar to live on mission. Sometimes following Jesus simply means being fully present wherever your feet already are.

It’s easy to think following Jesus happens mostly in the big moments—the worship service, the mission trip, the ministry event, the spiritual conversation.
But what if much of the life Jesus is calling us to happens in places that feel completely ordinary?
At the kitchen table. In the school pickup line. Across the desk. At the grocery store. In the neighborhood. Over a cup of coffee.
What if the ordinary, everyday places you find yourself this week are exactly where God wants to meet you—and you are exactly where He wants you to be?
Pay attention. God may already be at work there.

Add some fall color to your home while supporting Atlee Christian Academy! ACA’s Parent Administration Collaborative is holding its Fall Mum Sale, and our Hope family is invited to participate.

Small 8" Mums — $15 each
Large 10" Mums — $25 each

Visit the Connection Center this Sunday, August 30, after church. Payment is due when ordering by cash (exact change only) or check, please.

Mums will be delivered to ACA on September 15 and will be available for pickup Wednesday, September 16, from 7–8 PM in Hope’s front foyer.
