Thanks to our choir for not only another great year of singing, but for ending their year on a high note by donating a collective $290 to support the Haiti School Sponsorship! These funds will help pay for several Haitian children to attend school. Mèsi anpil, Choir! 🎶🙏🇭🇹

We celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ this weekend with the Gospel below and the optional Sequence in the comments:

John 6:51-58
Jesus said to the Jewish crowds:
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my flesh for the life of the world."

The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying,
"How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
Jesus said to them,
"Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood,
you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood
has eternal life,
and I will raise him on the last day.
For my flesh is true food,
and my blood is true drink.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood
remains in me and I in him.
Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so also the one who feeds on me
will have life because of me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven.
Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died,
whoever eats this bread will live forever."

We bid adieu to our choir year with the much-postponed choir dinner (from back in January!!) where we ate, drank, sang, wobble-d, attempted the Whitney Houston challenge (your girl's still got it!), played music bingo, AND even heard a presentation on next year's choir pilgrimage to Ireland.
If you want to learn more about that last part, chat with me after Mass this summer and I'd be happy to share more info. Thanks for another wonderful year, choirs!

This weekend concludes our choir season, and boy, am I going to miss hearing this exquisite sound every evening! All the gifts of the Spirit flow so freely through this incredible group of people and Redeemer is so blessed to be led by their example of prayerfulness and joyful praise to our Triune God. This new song is a quieter tune of praise for all of the gifts God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit gives to us. How Glorious is our God! 🙌
