Today, we give thanks for those who fought for freedom, and honor the generations of Black individuals who have persevered through unimaginable hardship. As followers of Christ, may we continue the work of reconciliation, seeking justice, extending grace, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. May God guide us as we pursue a future marked by dignity, equality, and hope for all.

Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow."

Exciting Partnership Announcement!
NHPC is partnering with Project SAF to purchase a mobile pull-along grill that will be taken into communities following acts of violence. By providing food, support, and compassionate presence, Project SAF life coaches can help prevent retaliation, build relationships, and offer encouragement to those who are hurting.
NHPC members will have opportunities to receive training on community violence and trauma and serve as volunteer grill masters. Stay tuned for training details or contact Debbie Blackburn for more information.

Real Life Opportunities to Serve:

Welcome Home Supply Drive – Ends June 14
Help welcome Real Lifers into their new homes by donating personal hygiene and cleaning supplies. Purchase items using the link below and bring donations to church by June 14. Stay after worship to help pack supplies for delivery.

Calling All Bakers!
We're collecting 44 dozen cookies for the men, women, and staff of Real Life in celebration of Juneteenth! All cookie varieties are welcome (please, no nuts). Label your cookies and place them in the marked freezer in the large kitchen by June 14. Volunteers are also needed to help package cookies after worship that day.

International Rescue Committee (IRC) Opportunities to Serve:

Due to ongoing challenges facing refugee families, NHPC is focusing its support on the IRC Emergency Response Fund. Donations will help families experiencing immigration hardships related to recent policy changes.
💙 Donations will be collected through June 30.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the dignity, worth, and belovedness of every person. We believe that all people are created in God's image and deserve to be treated with love, compassion, and respect.

Our church strives to be a place where everyone can experience community, belonging, and God's love. May this month remind us to listen, learn, and love one another more deeply.

We are so grateful for all the work that Real Life does, and we were blessed to get a visit from them to learn more about their programs and goals. And to top it off, we got to bless and pray for Thomas' journey on his MS bike ride across the US! Another special Sunday for the books!

We had a great time celebrating the Church's birthday this past Sunday! Pastor Anthony had fun casting aspersions into the congregation to remind us of our baptisms, we welcomed four wonderful new members, shared a holy meal, AND enjoyed a special communion song from a guest and family member. It's amazing we fit it all into one service!
