Dear Families,

After much consideration, the board decided to close Fairmount Christian Child Care following the conclusion of the summer program on August 14, 2026.

This difficult decision stems from several years of declining enrollment and changes in the childcare marketplace, including Hanover County now offering on-site childcare.

Additionally, in our commitment to affordability, we chose not to raise rates to the levels required to sustain our operations.

It has been an honor serving the families of Mechanicsville and the surrounding areas. We thank you for the opportunity to have been a part of your children's lives.

Notifications & Text Alerts: Should something impact our schedule we notify parents through text alert and our Facebook Parents Page.

We are open 630am to 600 pm all next week for Spring break. Please remember to send your children with a lunch meal.

We are excited about our summer calendar which will be out by 3 April. We are awaiting contracts from a couple of vendors before publishing.

We are open all day tommorow Monday 16 March- until last child is picked up. Watch the weather. Travel will be treacherous at times.

Hanover has called a student holiday for Tuesday, 21 April. We will be open that day 630 am - 600 pm.
