we pray.
Amen."

Dear God,
Some days, some weeks
we struggle to serve you.

We are flat out of steam.
We are grieving
for lost colleagues,
friends and family.

We lament decisions
by authorities and
individuals.

We wonder at the rise
of certain kinds
of people.

We know too well
why your gifted ones
languish.

We are dismayed,
disheartened,
flat out of steam.

Our fires burn too low
to keep us
going.

We need you, Lord Jesus,
and the gasp
of recognition.

We need you, Great Spirit,
and the heat of
Holy Flame.

We need you, God of all,
for the stoking
of our hearts.

Light your fire in us
and under us,
we pray.

We can become so focused on producing good fruit that we neglect our connection to the Vine. Jesus does not invite us into spiritual productivity without relationship. He invites us to abide.

At the middle of this month, consider where effort has replaced communion. Make space to receive God’s love and truth before trying to accomplish something for Him.

Take care of yourself - truly for God's sake...

🔥 GOD GAVE YOU THE TEMPLE—HOW ARE YOU TAKING CARE OF IT?

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you…?” — 1 Corinthians 6:19

We spend a lot of time asking God to bless, protect, heal, and use us—but are we taking care of the temple He gave us?

Our bodies don't belong to us alone. What we do with them matters. What we put into them matters. What we allow into our minds and hearts matters. We can't always ask God to use us while ignoring the vessel He has given us.

So let's be real with ourselves:

• What are we putting into our bodies?
• What are we allowing into our minds?
• Are our habits honoring God?
• Are we taking care of ourselves so we can fulfill what God has called us to do?

This isn't about being perfect. It's about being intentional.

You only get one body in this life. Take care of the temple. Honor the One who gave it to you.

🙏🏽 God gave you the temple. Don't neglect what He entrusted to you.

Martha was serving from a heart that loved Jesus, but her soul had become distracted and overwhelmed.

Jesus did not question her love or condemn her desire to help. He gently invited her to notice what her hurried heart was missing.

You are allowed to pause. You are allowed to release what cannot be finished today. Being still with Jesus is not neglecting what matters; it is remembering where your strength begins.
