We've made it! All the way through Jesus’ birth, death, resurrection, and ascension, the coming of the Spirit at Pentecost and the discussion of the meaning of the Trinity. Now, we begin the "Time after Pentecost, " the green season of the church where we concentrate on growing as followers of Jesus. Jesus calls Matthew, the tax collector, to follow Him and we join the group at dinner. What can we learn this Sunday about following Jesus?

This Sunday, our children, infants to 12 years old, have an opportunity to experience both a bit of worship and activities geared just for them. The children are in the sanctuary for the beginning of worship until the children's sermon (after the Prayer of the Day), when they are taken back for their time of learning and activity. They return to the service after the Sharing of the Peace to sit with their families for communion. Any crafts or take-home items will be brought with them at that time. Parents, we look forward to having you and your children worship with us this Sunday!

🙏Friends, please take a moment daily or weekly this month to remember our Prayer Pause:

"God of glory, fill us, your church, with the power that flows from the resurrection of your Son, Jesus, and the coming of Your Holy Spirit. Amidst the sound and fury of this sinful, chaotic, divisive world, may we signal the beginning of a renewed humanity, risen to new life with Christ. Amen."

This Sunday is the only Sunday we explore a doctrine rather than an event in Jesus' life. What exactly IS the Trinity? How does knowing something about it help us know more about who God is and who we are called to be as followers of Jesus? Come join us as we explore these very questions.

This past Sunday was Pentecost, and it was a special (and noisy) morning here at Trinity! We joyfully rang shakers and tambourines each time we heard or sang the word “Spirit”, to celebrate Pentecost in worship and to be reminded of the Holy Spirit’s surprising, sometimes disruptive yet empowering and faithful leading.

We remembered our baptism with asperges (splashed with holy water) and affirmed and recalled the promises made for us: we are beloved children of God.

Even the carefully tended flower garden in the west yard wore red for the occasion of Pentecost. Thanks, Penn Cumberland Garden Club!

Here is your video from yesterday's worship. Happy Birthday! This Sunday, we celebrated the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. The day the church is born. Please join us for this incredibly exciting story that affects us all and breathes life into our mission to share God's love and healing to our broken world. The drama and pyrotechnics alone will stir your heart and imagination!
