What if the Kingdom of God is less like a crowd and more like a puzzle — with a specific, shaped space that only you can fill?

In this continuation of our Kingdom of God series, Pastor Mike Lyle unpacks what it means to discover your unique role in the body of Christ. Drawing from the imagery of a puzzle, Pastor Mike reminds us that every piece matters: no gift is too small, no calling is insignificant, and no one else can fit quite where you're meant to be. When even one piece is missing, the picture is incomplete.

Whether you're still searching for where you belong, second-guessing the gifts God has given you, or ready to step more fully into your calling, this message is an invitation to start embracing who God designed you to be.

Join us at Mechanic Falls Vineyard Church as we keep exploring what it means to live as citizens of His Kingdom!

The Kingdom of God: A Willingness to Serve

In this week's episode of our ongoing series on the Kingdom of God, Pastor Mike Lyle of Mechanic Falls Vineyard explores what it means to live with a posture of servanthood. Drawing from the wedding at Cana, Mike turns our attention to an often-overlooked group in the story: the servants. Their quiet obedience to Jesus' instructions—filling jars with water without knowing what would come next—becomes a powerful picture of faithful service in God's Kingdom.

Mike also reflects on the legacy of John Wimber, founder of the Vineyard movement, whose vision of servant leadership continues to shape how we follow Jesus together. Wimber's conviction that "everybody gets to play" was rooted in a deeper truth—that the Kingdom advances through humble hearts willing to do whatever the Master asks.

Join us as we consider what it looks like to say yes to serving, even in the small and hidden moments.

The resurrection of Jesus isn't just a historical event to believe in—it's a reality that reshapes how we see everything. In this message, Mitsie McKellick invites us to consider how the risen Christ reorients our priorities, our hopes, and our daily lives. Join us as we explore what it means to live as people transformed by the power of the empty tomb.

You weren't placed here by accident. The job you have, the neighborhood you live in, the people around your dinner table, the season you're walking through right now — none of it is random. God is a deliberate gardener, and where He plants you, He intends to grow something for His Kingdom.

In this message, we'll explore what it means to live with the awareness that you are positioned, not just present. Scripture is full of people who discovered their ordinary circumstances were actually divine assignments — Esther in a palace, Joseph in a prison, the Samaritan woman at a well. Each one was planted on purpose, for a purpose.

If you've ever wondered whether your life matters, whether your story counts, or whether God can really use someone like you — this one is for you.

We all know the feeling — God has spoken a promise over your life, the kingdom feels close, and yet you find yourself waiting. In this episode, we explore the tension between the expectation of God’s kingdom and the reality of waiting for His promises to be fulfilled. These in-between spaces can feel unsettling, even easy to dismiss. But what if they’re not wasted time? What if God is doing some of His most profound work in the very places that feel the most unfinished? Join us as Larry Strondak helps us discover how God meets us in the middle — in the transitions, the not-yets, and the almost-theres — and why the awkward in between might be exactly where He wants us!

He was dead. The stone was sealed. The soldiers stood guard. And then… everything changed.

This Easter Sunday, we’re diving into the most electrifying, jaw-dropping, history-splitting moment the world has ever seen — the resurrection of Jesus Christ! This isn’t just an ancient story gathering dust in a history book. This is a living, breathing, right-now reality that has the power to transform your life today.

In this special Easter message, we’ll explore:

✨ Why the empty tomb is the best news you’ll ever hear

🎉 What the resurrection means for your story — right where you are

💪 How the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to you today

Whether you’re a longtime believer who needs a fresh spark of wonder, someone who just wandered in curious, or a skeptic willing to give it a shot — this episode is for YOU. Grab your coffee, bring a friend, and get ready to celebrate.

Because the grave couldn’t hold Him. Darkness didn’t win. And that changes everything.

He is risen — and that’s worth celebrating! 🙌

This week, Jacob Altemus leads us into the familiar story of Martha and Mary in Luke 10. While Martha rushes around the kitchen, anxious and distracted by all the preparations, her sister Mary sits at Jesus’ feet, listening to His words. When Martha complains, Jesus doesn’t scold her for serving — He lovingly redirects her heart.

“Martha, Martha,” Jesus says, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed — or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

In this sermon, we explore:

- Why we so easily become “distracted”.

- How good things (even ministry and hospitality) can become distractions when they pull us from Jesus.

- The gentle but powerful way Jesus calls us back to the one thing that matters most.

- Practical ways to choose the “better” part in our noisy, distracted world.

Whether you’re a busy parent, a driven professional, a ministry leader, or someone who just feels constantly pulled in a hundred directions, this story is an invitation to slow down, sit down, and listen. Jesus is inviting us to live from a place of rest and relationship rather than anxiety and exhaustion.

Are you more like Martha or Mary today? And what might change if you chose the one thing that cannot be taken away? Tune in for a refreshing, honest conversation that will help you realign your heart with what truly matters.
