We refresh the inbox. Watch the clock. Replay every possible outcome.

Sometimes our bodies are sitting still while our minds are running everywhere.

Notice who this verse speaks to: “My soul.”

It’s a reminder we can give ourselves: Wait upon God. Let your hope rest in Him.

Waiting doesn’t mean neglecting what needs to be done. We can make the call, take the next responsible step, and still release what isn’t ours to control.

Our hope doesn’t have to rise and fall with every notification or depend on knowing how everything will turn out. It can rest in the character of the God we’re waiting upon.

Lord, help me do what is mine to do—and trust You with what I cannot control. 🤍

Imagine returning to the place where you once needed someone to hold your hand—and holding someone else’s.

A life touched by God’s faithfulness can become a voice of encouragement to someone facing their own hard season.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and pray for everyone facing this journey and the families beside them. 🎀

Notice that this verse doesn’t stop at “live.” It continues: “and declare the works of the LORD.”

We don’t need every question answered to tell of His goodness. Sometimes our testimony is simple:

“I was afraid, and God met me there.”
“I needed help, and He sent people who loved me.”
“I’m still walking through this, and He is sustaining me.”

You don’t need a microphone to share what God has done. A quiet conversation with someone who is hurting may be the place your story matters most.

Lord, help me remember Your faithfulness—and give me the courage to speak of it. 🤍

The table isn’t a reward for surviving the trouble. It’s God’s provision in the middle of it.

Look at what’s still in this verse: the enemies.

Yet the table is prepared. The oil is poured. The cup overflows.

Sometimes we become so focused on what’s against us that we overlook how God is caring for us. The pressure is real—but so is His faithfulness.

An unresolved situation doesn’t mean you’ve been forgotten. You can still receive strength, experience His goodness, and find reasons to be thankful while you’re waiting for things to change.

Today, let’s pay more attention to the One who prepared the table than to those standing around it.

Lord, help me recognize Your care right here, not only after the trouble passes. 🤍

A crown couldn’t make his heart right with God.

In Psalm 51, David comes before God in repentance. Beneath the title and the power stood a man who needed mercy—and desperately wanted to remain close to Him.

Most of us will never wear a crown. But we know how to keep things looking fine on the outside while our hearts need God’s attention.

We can protect our reputation, fill our schedules, and even stay busy serving at church while neglecting time with Him.

Today, let’s come honestly. No excuses. No performance.

Lord, forgive me. Clean my heart. Help me treasure Your presence more than anything I could achieve.

Are we caring as much about our closeness to God as we are about how our lives look to others?

“Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”

The meal was gone in minutes. The kindness was still bearing fruit decades later.

Look closely at the framed photograph. The little boy who once received a meal is now the man serving one—and beside him, his daughter is learning what it looks like to love others.

We may never see everything God grows from our obedience. A prayer with someone who is hurting. A seat offered to someone who feels forgotten. A child who learns about Jesus by watching how we treat people.

Jesus chose us with a purpose: to bear fruit that remains.

Today, don’t underestimate the person in front of you or the small act of love God has placed within your reach. It may reach a generation you’ll never meet.

What will keep growing because you loved someone? 🤍
