Today, January 5, is the last day of the Christmas Season and is known as Twelfth Night or Epiphany Eve. Christmas Day is considered the "First Day of Christmas" and the Twelve Days are December 25 – January 5.

At one time, January 6th was the traditional Christmas gift-giving day, because this was the day that the Baby Jesus received gifts from the Magi.

Popular Epiphany customs include Epiphany singing, chalking the door, having one's house blessed, consuming Three Kings Cake, winter swimming, as well as attending church services. It is customary for Christians in many localities to remove their Christmas decorations on Epiphany Eve (Twelfth Night),[
