Always great to have Pastor Doug Weiber share with us at FCA! The story of the Bible is Immanuel. God desiring to know and be with us!! And to dwell within us 🤯. The Holy Spirit in us is our way to understand God’s plan for us. But we SO often ignore his leading and try to effort our faith on our own. Being a Christian is not doing a set of behaviors to conform to a faith culture. It’s yielding our own desires & plans and being empowered by the Holy Spirit. Loving and living like Jesus did. A life immersed in God’s word & submitted to the Holy Spirit’s agenda for your life! “We are yours God. Whatever you want to do with us!!”

Wrapping up FCA 2024 with Whitworth’s Toby Schwarz sharing with us! The story of his friend Brandon. A life cut way too short… but a young man who lived in a way that was counter cultural in the way he loved his peers. Seeking the lost. Living out “loving your neighbor” every day! Life can be hard. As we answer God’s call to love others, it benefits them AND gives us purpose. Be a light in the places God has you (and if YOU need help, ask Him and ask someone else).

Awesome to have Mr Widmer back at MSHS to speak today!!! We do have an enemy..an enemy of spiritual darkness. If we’re not careful we’ll believe Satan’s lies. We so often have gospel amnesia, and forget: we are deeply loved, drastically broken, and desperately need a savior! BUT God… is always Good, always Great, and His word is our guide.

So great to have MSHS and FCA alumni Abby Wallace share with us this morning about her experience with The Great Race! The great commission…don’t be intimidated, it’s not that hard 🙂. Ask. Admire. Admit. Invite. And pray! Your faithfulness will be fruitful in His timing. Even if you’re scared or it’s awkward….be honest and seek to learn. It’s about relationships, and leaving it to the Lord. Today, tomorrow, & forever: seek Him and tell others!

Pastor Brennan Johnson shared with us today at FCA! Awesome reminder of the danger of not living out our faith. Familiarity & Complacency. Are you fooling yourself? Are you built upon sand? Life in Jesus is not a $5 Rolex. A life devoted to Jesus is full! Are YOU building that foundation of faith on the rock of Jesus? 1. Pursue Jesus more than yourself. 2. Surround yourself with people headed in that same direction. 3. Refuse to be distracted.

Amazing first FCA huddle! Pastor Joshua Bingle kicked us off with a challenging message. A double life. “Am I too far gone to follow God?” I know my desire to know God, but also I know what a dirty mess I am on the inside. Like Peter our sincerity often falters. BUT God doesn’t. His love for us, His call on our lives, & His Spirit are never failing. He will meet you wherever you are. You’re NEVER too far gone! His invitation to cling to His hand walk free with Him is always there. Always.
