And that’s a wrap on Camp 2024!
On Monday morning, we loaded up 17 students and made our way to Stoneridge Baptist Camp in Smithville. I’m not going to lie, we were nervous about having such a big group with only three counselors, but our kids really rose to the occasion. We are always proud of our crew, but they really blew us away this year.
We saw students make new connections and friendships, deepen bonds, and grow in their relationships with God. We watched them pray together and take care of each other, tuning into the hurts and needs of those around them. We got to witness one of our own make the most important decision to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior and another rededicate their life to God.
I know I can speak for all three of us when I say there is nowhere on this side of Heaven we would have rather been this week than with these kids, so major thank you’s are in order to our church, these students, and their families for the trust they put in us.
Next year already can’t come soon enough!
