☀️ Summer Food Service Program is back! ☀️
McMinnville School District Nutrition Services is excited to continue providing free meals for all children ages 1–18 this summer! 🍎🥪
Starting Monday, June 22, children can enjoy nutritious meals at our summer meal sites — no registration required!
📍 Public Park Sites (Monday - Thursday)
Grab-and-go meals will be available for children to take with them.
📍 School Sites Operating in June
Newby Elementary and McMinnville High School will be serving meals on site:
🍽️ Breakfast: 8:30–9:00 AM
🍽️ Lunch: 11:30 AM–12:00 PM
Meals served at school sites must be eaten on site.

With today’s Heat Advisory continuing to forecast temperatures of 92° to 98° starting this morning, it's a good time for a reminder that animals, children, and individuals with respiratory or mobility issues should not be left in vehicles, even with the A/C going or windows rolled down.

❌ Never leave children, animals, or medically fragile individuals alone in a hot car.
🌡 Check the car seat temperature before placing your child in the seat.
🕶 Use sunshades or tint your windows to help reduce heat.
📋 Create a system to remind you to check your child's seat before locking the vehicle - every time.
🔒 Keep your vehicle locked - cars are not playgrounds.

🌞🌞skies greeted us on this Monday June 15 morning , and YES , it is STILL GOING TO BE HOT🙄🫣

We are back from our Weekend Break ready to serve nutritious food made from scratch and with love- especially with love.💞

First Baptist is serving sit down inside breakfasts from 9:00am-10:00 am.

Provoking Hope is serving sandwiches from 11:00-22:00.

Since Hand washing is a given, please wash your hands in the bathrooms.

Come in where it will be COOL and welcoming and enjoy the company of our guests.

Temperatures have already soared into the 90s early this afternoon throughout the Willamette Valley, including the Portland/Vancouver Metro area where there is an Extreme Heat Warning in effect. Expect overnight temperatures to cool in the 60s, although a few local areas may not see temperatures drop below 70 degrees tonight. With limited overnight relief and temperatures expected to warm another 1-3 degrees on Monday, make sure to practice heat safety, wherever you are!
