The Soup Kitchen at St. Barnabas Episcopal Parish McMinnville Oregon

The Soup Kitchen at St. Barnabas Episcopal Parish McMinnville Oregon It is faith in action--loving God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength by loving our neighbor St. The Soup Kitchen at St. Barnabas Parish.

Barnabas Episcopal Parish In McMinnville Oregon began an outreach feeding ministry in 1990 when we opened the doors of our Parish Hall and began serving "no questions asked/ no paperwork required" meals to anyone who came to us. The guests share their need with us and we share our bounty. We have created an environment in which those we serve feel welcomed and comfortable. They have in effect cr

eated a community of their own - "It's not just about the food!"

CURRENTLY BECAUSE OF COVID RESTRICTIONS OUR MASKED GLOVED VOLUNTEERS ARE SERVING OUR GUESTS TO-GO MEALS IN FRONT OF THE SOUP KITCHEN ENTRY DOORS. Barnabas is not just located at St. Barnabas Parish is THE β€˜sponsor” and provider of the space and equipment. Yet, it takes the time, talent and treasure of an entire community to allow us to fulfill our mission of feeding the hungry of Yamhill County. We welcome and provide training for volunteers. We gladly accept monetary or food ( which we purchase) donations. However, because of limited storage space and since we are NOT a Food Pantry, we can only take food which can be used to prepare meals served to the 120+ guests we average a day.
