Father, tonight I bring You my tiredness. I have pushed and striven, trying to be strong on my own, and I am spent.

You saw Your servant Elijah when he was exhausted and discouraged, and You did not lecture him. You met him with kindness first: food, rest, and a quiet place to be still.

So tonight, Lord, I stop striving. I receive Your care. Before the next assignment, let me rest in You. Restore my soul, and let me wake with Your strength, not my own.

Psalm 23:2–3 : “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.”

When you are exhausted and discouraged, do you tend to push harder: or let God meet you with rest first? What would receiving His care look like tonight?
