Man… WHAT. A. YEAR. 🤯🔥
From conferences to camps, from DNOW to MDWK—God has been MOVING in The Rock Student Ministry in undeniable ways! This has been a place where students aren’t just showing up, but finding real community, encountering Jesus, and growing deeper in their walk with the Lord.

We are beyond grateful for what God has done this year. We’ve watched 32 students surrender their lives to Jesus, celebrated 18 baptisms, and seen several students feel the call into ministry—and that never gets old. Lives are being changed, futures are being redirected, and God is writing stories that only He could write.

And the crazy part? We truly believe He’s just getting started. 🙌
I cannot WAIT to see what God is going to do in 2026. If this year was any indication, buckle up—because the best is still ahead! 🚀🔥

Be on the lookout at the beginning of the new year! We’ll be opening camp sign-ups earlier than usual to help with planning and to give families more time to make payments for their student(s).

Good Wednesday Morning!
Just a few important announcements to share:

1. Tonight is our LAST MDWK of 2025!
We would love to see everyone there. If you’re able, come worship with us as we wrap up the year together. Let’s fill the youth buildings with the sound of students worshiping! 🙌

2. High School Conference
The HS conference is FULL 🎉
Participation forms will go home tonight with any students who have not yet turned theirs in.

3. Middle School Conference
We have 2 spots left for the MS conference. Forms will also go home tonight.
We will be leaving next Sunday morning, and I’ll send out detailed logistics as we get closer.

4. Summer Camp Dates (Opening Early!)
I plan to open camp sign-ups earlier this year—possibly in January—to give families more time to plan and pay.
• High School Camp: June 22–25
• Middle School Camp: June 25–28

These dates fall during the first week of dead period, so there should be no school sports or activities competing.

Once again, tonight is the last MDWK, and we’d love to see you there!

Faith & Parenting: Because Parents Need Community Too!

(Both classes cover the same content, so if you miss one, you can catch it on the other day!)

👨‍🏫 Led by: Eddie Ware – youth ministry veteran and former missionary to the Tohono O’odham Nation in Sells, Arizona.

(Long Post )Here are some snapshots from our combined MDWK!

It was such a powerful night — worship was incredible, and Marylou did an amazing job sharing her story and communicating the love of Christ!

But as great as these pictures are, let me tell you about what you don’t see — because what you don’t see is the reason we do what you do see.

Here’s what the pictures don’t capture:

You don’t see the leader praying with the student who’s breaking down in tears.

You don’t see the leader giving counsel to the student who doesn’t know what to do next.

You don’t see the leaders gathered together, praying over students.

You don’t see the v**e that was handed to me because a student was tired of giving in to temptation.

You don’t see the student their confessing sin through the tears.

You don’t see the conversation with a student promising to pour out their alcohol when they get home.

You don’t see the student admitting they’ve been cutting and finally asking for help.

You don’t see two friends praying for a teammate who was injured at practice.

You don't see the student who finally gets it and for the first time feels the overwhelming love of Jesus!

You don’t see the youth leaders who go home and weep as they try to quiet their minds enough to sleep.

This isn’t a once-in-a-while thing — this is real life. These are the daily battles students face.

But this is our why.
This is our mission.
This is the result of sin and brokenness — but thanks be to God, we have a Savior who has overcome that sin!

At The Rock Student Ministry, we will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to reach students with the Gospel — to walk arm-in-arm through their hardest moments — and we will NEVER apologize for it.

We’re looking to start a small group just for YOU! Parenting teens can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone. This group would be a place to connect, encourage each other, and grow in faith together while walking through this season of life.
