Well my friends we are entering the fourth quarter of 2026. If God were to call you home tonight, would you think that you are ready to meet our Lord and Savior? I believe we all might think we would be ready, however I truly don’t believe I am , that is why I try not to miss church and Sunday school. I invite you to join me this Lord’s day. The First Christian Church in McMechen is where I am just about every Sunday morning. We use the Holy Bible to teach and preach. Brothers and Sisters I begin today’s few words with the idea of, is God trying to tell us something about our future here on earth? Look at all the wildfires, floods, and tornadoes that has been happening. I personally think He is trying to tell us to shape up. We need to be attending church more often, praying , working for Him. August is quickly slipping past us. I am back to ask questions again. How are you doing talking with God? Have you been having a conversation with Him daily? He said he will be there for you. Would you believe that 2026 is 3/4 over? What happened to it, where did it go? Are you talking to our Heavenly Father on a regular basis? Seems like I’m in the asking question mood this evening. We need to get closer to God. Prayer is the best way to do that. I hear people say they can’t pray. I feel they can. If you can talk to people, then you can talk to God. The First Christian Church in McMechen will be talking about prayer this Sunday morning. We have Sunday school at 10:00AM followed by worship service at 11:00AM. Well we have welcomed the month of August into our lives and guess who welcomed us in,,Our Heavenly Father. He is always there for us. The majority of us don’t even think about that. Is Christ number ONE on our list? He should be. If you would like to know more about Him, try finding a good Bible based church. We at The First Christian Church in McMechen have always preached and taught from the BIBLE. July is coming to an end, where is time going in such a hurry? Are you speaking to our Heavenly Father every day? People say they can’t pray, I say we can always talk to God. Well it seems like we never have any idea what the weather is going to be. Hot one day, rain the next. It’s sort of like some Christians, on Sunday they are good souls, but the rest of the week, you can’t tell they ever been to church. Seems to me that life is moving faster every day. The world is moving faster towards thinking that they don’t need God. I am here to say we need God more now than ever.
