Join us tonight at McLeansboro FUMC as we walk through the profound journey of Maundy Thursday.

We begin at 6:00 PM in Peter Cartwright Hall, gathering as disciples to share the bread and the cup, commemorating Jesus' final meal.

Following communion, we will move into the sanctuary for a solemn Tenebrae Service, reflecting on the scriptures of Jesus' death through word and song.

All are welcome to this evening of reflection and remembrance.

We give thanks for the life and faithful witness of Nancy Johnson, a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro. Nancy loved her church deeply and served it with dedication for many years. Her kindness, steady faith, and care for others were felt by everyone who walked through our doors. Please keep Nancy’s family and all who loved her in your prayers.

With heavy hearts, we remember Dick Deitz, former mayor of McLeansboro and a longtime, devoted church member. Mr. Deitz passed away and has gone home to be with the Lord.

We give thanks for a life of faithful service to his community, his church, and his family. Our prayers are with all who mourn his passing, trusting in the promise of eternal life and the hope we have in Christ.

Visitation for Dick Deitz will be Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M.
