UPDATE

The 2025 Archdiocesan Assembly will take place this coming Saturday, September 27, at St. Mark Orthodox Church in Bethesda, Maryland. The day will begin with the celebration of the hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 8:00 a.m., led by His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, with responses sung by the Archdiocesan Choir of Washington, D.C. The holy relics of St. Olga of Alaska will be present for veneration.

Following lunch, the assembly will officially open.

On Tuesday, September 2, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon will welcome His Beatitude Archbishop Stefan of the Macedonian Orthodox Church to St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral for the celebration of a historic Primatial Divine Liturgy.

It will be a great blessing to have the Hawaiian Iveron Icon of the Mother of God and the relics of the newly canonized St. Olga of Kwethluk present for veneration.

Liturgical responses will be sung by the Archdiocesan Choir of Washington, DC.

Off-street parking will be available at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, which is just a short walk from St. Nicholas Cathedral.

Christ is risen!

Join us at St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral on Bright Saturday as we continue to celebrate our Lord's Pascha!

During the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude will bestow the miter upon Archpriest Joseph Woodill and ordain St. Vladimir's Seminary seminarian Daniel York to the diaconate. Following the services, a meal will be served in the hall.

While there should be plenty of on-street parking available, additional parking will be available at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, just up the street.

*Funeral Arrangements For Archpriest Paul Harrilchak*

On Sunday, March 16, the Order for the Burial of a Priest will be celebrated at 6 pm by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. The church is located at 20937 Ashburn Rd Suite 110, Ashburn, VA. All clergy of the Archdiocese of Washington are invited to serve.

On Monday, March 17, a memorial service will be served at 10:30 am followed by interment at Chesnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA. A luncheon will be held at the church following the graveside prayers.

May Fr. Paul's memory be eternal!
