Who is ready for a dance party!? In the month of June at FCC McKinney we are looking to stories of people from the Bible who just could help but boogie. Miriam sang and danced in praise to God after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea after the waters rushed back to their rightful place, and the Egyptian army was kept at bay. David took heat for being an undignified dancer, grateful to honor the faithfulness of the Lord. But before we can dance, we’d better be listening to the music! Jesus is playing some tunes for us this week – let’s listen up! Now perhaps you aren’t feeling particularly compelled to show off some of your finest moves this (or any) Sunday morning. But hopefully you can identify with the kind of gratitude or relief or worship that just blurts right out of you. It is readiness to worship God that we learn from these stories in the weeks to come.
