Citychurch Youth Outreach Citychurch is a youth outreach ministry on the East side of McKinney, Texas. We are an all-volunteer group who exist to serve others.

Citychurch Youth Outreach is a a volunteer based organization that serves the at-risk youth and families in the McKinney area to help meet their physical , emotional, and spiritual needs. We are a "HANDS ON" organization and we heavily rely on the constant interaction with the people to build and maintain relationships throughout the community. We have been working in this community for 6 years an

d have gained a "foot in the door" or credibility through maintaining relationships and the people reciprocate by being more open and trusting with us. Our primary focus is to reach out to the at-risk youth and families in McKinney to help promote a better quality of life and to help meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We believe that help without hope is no help at all so our organization seeks to educate and empower those in the community. We offer many programs and assistance to the youth and families requiring nothing in return from them. We believe that interaction is a key factor when it comes to affectiveness and effectiveness of our programs. Citychurch offers programs year round that help the community and we seek to become a "mission central" or place where people can come to volunteer and serve the community. We host programs and events year round maintaining weekly interaction with the youth and families. Help us wish a very Happy Birthday to Mrs. Kelsea! 🥳🎉
Kelsea is such a special part of our Citychurch family and helps teach our little kids class on Sunday mornings. We’re incredibly thankful for the love, patience, and joy she brings to our kids each week. 💜
She’s a wonderful teacher, an amazing mom, and according to a completely unbiased and anonymous Citychurch source, an incredibly beautiful, some might even say smoking hot, wife. 😂

It’s pretty incredible to look back at where Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes began.

In 2009, it was simply a family tradition—10 Thanksgiving boxes packed in our living room and delivered to local families.

Then 10 became 100. We outgrew the living room, then the warehouse. Volunteers showed up. Churches, businesses, community organizations, and corporate sponsors joined the mission.

Today, we pack 325–350 complete Thanksgiving meals with hundreds of volunteers from across our community.

We never could have imagined what God would do with those first 10 boxes.

There are some people who don’t just volunteer at Citychurch — they become part of the foundation of what makes this place special. Paloma and her amazing family are those kinds of people.
They have been part of the Citychurch family for years, and whenever there is work to be done, we know we can count on Paloma to be there.
From Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes to our Summer Lunch Program and just about everything in between, she has served our kids and our community faithfully, consistently, and with a smile.
And that kind of faithfulness means more to us than we can put into a birthday post. ❤️

🚨 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS — WE’RE BACK! 🚨
Summer is over, school is back in session, and Youth Night is officially returning to Citychurch! 🙌
Starting Wednesday, September 2nd, we’re getting together every Wednesday for a couple hours to hang out, have fun, eat some food, and spend time talking about Jesus and what faith actually looks like in real life.
Youth Night isn’t about having all the right answers or pretending you have everything figured out. It’s a place to ask questions, be yourself, build real friendships, and grow together.

Men’s Bible Study: where we study Scripture, drink coffee, eat breakfast tacos… and occasionally Justin asks a question specifically designed to make everyone at the table say, “Oh, come on.” 😂
We call them “Holy War Questions.” They’re intentionally difficult (and sometimes intentionally ridiculous) theological questions meant to push us past the easy answers. The goal isn’t to argue; it’s to think, laugh, hear different perspectives, and get better at explaining why we believe what we believe.
The conversations are always good, the disagreements stay friendly, and somehow we usually learn something along the way.

If you’ve got little ones at Citychurch, then you already know just how special Mrs. Cathy is!
After 39 years as an elementary school teacher, she somehow decided she hadn’t spent enough time with kids yet 😂, and we are incredibly thankful she chose to share all of that experience, patience, and love with us.
Mrs. Cathy has completely transformed our Little Kids Sunday School program. She has an incredible gift for connecting with our youngest students, making them feel loved and welcomed, and teaching them about Jesus in a way they can understand and remember.
Our kids absolutely adore her, and so do we. ❤️
Mrs. Cathy, thank you for every Sunday you show up, every lesson you prepare, every little hand you hold, and every child you love so well. Citychurch is a better place because you’re here.

Last Thanksgiving, something pretty incredible happened.
350 Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes.
15,000+ pounds of food.
1,800+ people served.
And none of it happened because of one person, one church, or one organization.
It happened because an entire community decided to show up.
Businesses. Churches. Organizations. Volunteers. Donors. Friends.
All working together to make sure hundreds of families had food on their tables for Thanksgiving.
And in 2026, we're doing it again.
Over the next few weeks, we're going to show you just how big the Thanksgiving Blessing Box effort really is—and introduce you to some of the incredible partners who make it possible.

📚 No Sunday Service | August 16
As many of our students head back to school this week, we're giving them—and our incredible volunteers—a weekend to catch their breath and settle into a new routine.
At Citychurch, we believe investing in kids means more than what happens on Sunday morning. It means supporting them in every area of life, including their education.
We want our students to start this school year rested, focused, and ready to succeed.
We'll miss seeing everyone this Sunday, but we'll be back the following week, excited to hear all about the first days of school!

As a new school year begins, we want to take a moment to pray for everyone stepping back onto our campuses.
To our students — work hard, be brave, make good choices, and be kind. Remember that your grades matter, but they don't determine your value.

To our parents — thank you for all the work you do behind the scenes to get your kids where they need to be. We're praying for patience, wisdom, and strength.

To our teachers — thank you for investing your time, energy, and heart into the next generation. Never underestimate the difference you can make in the life of a child.
