Did you wake up and just need a cup of coffee?!

Here was our challenge this morning-- filtering out the coffee grounds from this cup of coffee-- because NO ONE would want a cup of coffee with grounds!

Have you ever thought that you need to do the same with the thoughts that enter your mind?

If we're not using the Word of God to filter every thought, taking every thought captive by identifying thoughts that speak the opposite of who God is and what he will & can do, then we're allowing the enemy ground in our mind by believing lies and half-truths. That's where the battle is! In our minds.

When you feel plagued by discouragement, hopelessness, anxiety or sin, this is where you can begin. Take back your freedom today!! (2 Cor 10:3-5; Phil 4:8-9)

Are you feeling far from God and aren't sure how to get back to Him? One easy step is to pray this verse. You could whisper, "God, work everything in me that is pleasing to you!" Or, " I believe that you are here and at work in me! Help me move out of the way so you can accomplish all you have planned!"

Or, call me and I would be glad to help!

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

WOW! There was a crucial part of this verse that was cut out by my translation! To think I've missed that so many times when I read Niv alone.

**This second half of the verse is what is needed to align my heart and mind on Him!!

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

** who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1

Let's set our minds on the Spirit-- what the Spirit wants and desires, His Kingdom, things that align with the Spirit of God! He is the Spirit of Life v.2.

Lord, I needed this life in me!

We've all set ourselves dreams and goals that we're hoping will come true in 2018! But the truth is, only 8% of people who have set goals will see them accomplished.
