With a cup of Café Verona in one hand and my TMFBC membership roster in the other hand, I have “lovingly” and “fervently” prayed for each TMFBC member by name. I encourage you my brothers and sisters to verify that you are listed as an active voter. It is amazing that such a high-stakes election has “voter suppression elements emerging” just a couple of months before the mid-term elections. In Texas, at least 1.2 million Texas voters are on the state’s "suspense list," two months before the high-stakes midterm election. Go to Vote.org and verify your voting status. Is it not delusional to be in control of the White House, Supreme Court, and both aisles of Congress yet you are “crying voter fraud.” If you are not registered to vote, the time is NOW to get registered to vote….and then go vote. Don’t forget these Texas election dates: Monday, October 5th is the last day to register to vote. Monday, October 19th is when early voting begins (let’s flood the polling locations). Friday, October 23rd is the last day to apply for a ballot by mail. Friday, October 30th early voting closes. Tuesday, November 3rd is election day.
I want to remind you of 7 Biblical promises that always encourage me when I am down, when I am frustrated, and to motivate me to keep on pressing toward the mark of a higher calling in Christ Jesus. (1) Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (2) Nahum 1:7 - The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him. (3) Galatians 6:9 - And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (4) Philippians 4:19 - And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (5) Matthew 6:33 - “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (6) Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (7) Psalm 84:11 - For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (live righteously).
