What began as a birthday wish turned into a celebration we'll never forget! 🎉 This past weekend, we had the honor of celebrating Ms. Lucille Oltion's 106th birthday. All she asked for were birthday cards, but her son and financial group Strategic Planning wanted to make it extra special.

To honor her milestone birthday, the group decided to donate to a charity of her choice. We are grateful that Ms. Lucille chose The Salvation Army—a special place in her heart, where she received her first Bible.

Happy 106th birthday, Ms. Lucille! Thank you for inspiring and blessing our community. ❤️

Throughout history, U.S. presidents have recognized The Salvation Army's mission of service without discrimination.

In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower established National Salvation Army Week, praising our "dedication to human brotherhood." Since then, we have continued serving our North Texas community.
