We hear the sounds of wars being waged all around us but the more deafening noise comes from the battle we wage within, the battle between spirit and flesh. The sound
of our own thoughts waging war with God thoughts.
The flesh seeks to dominate, to exalt itself. God thoughts bring peace and restoration, comfort and wisdom, blessing and hope. Blessed Assurance is the term carried by the classic hymn in a symphony of responses from an almighty God to a contrite heart.
There are people that seem to go through an entire lifetime never stopping to listen to the sound of God’s voice saying, “This is the way child, walk in it.”
Some hold stubborn hands over their ears saying, “Not now, God, I’m not ready This is my time” Yet time is truly in His hands. We are just renting space on His planet earth. He is the landowner and creator of the universe.
What kind of tenant will we be judged to have been?
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" 2 Corinthians 10:5
