Matthew 16:5–12

“Then Jesus said to them, ‘Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.’ …
Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

Thought@

Jesus reminds us to be careful what we allow to shape our thinking. Truth strengthens faith, while false ideas can slowly pull us away from God.

Today, fill your heart with God’s Word and be watchful of influences that lead away from Christ.
A little error can have a great impact, but God’s truth will always lead us in the right direction.

Matthew 16:1–4

“The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven.

But He answered and said to them… ‘A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.’”

Thought

Sometimes people look for extraordinary signs while overlooking the truth God has already revealed. Faith grows not by demanding more evidence, but by responding to the light God has already given.

Today, don’t wait for a sign to trust God.
Believe His Word, recognize His work in your life, and walk by faith.

Matthew 15:32–39

“Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, ‘I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.’

Then He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.

So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left.”

Thought

Jesus not only cared about the spiritual needs of the people—He cared about their physical needs as well. His compassion moved Him to provide for a hungry crowd, turning a small supply into an abundant blessing.

Today, trust the compassion and provision of Jesus.
He knows your needs, cares about your struggles, and is able to provide more than you can imagine.

Matthew 15:29–31

“Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there. Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

Thought

Jesus still welcomes those who come to Him with their burdens, weaknesses, and struggles. No problem is too great for His power and no heart is beyond His care.

Today, bring your needs to Jesus.
The One who healed the crowd still has the power to transform lives and give hope.

Matthew 15:21–28

“Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, ‘Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!’ …

Then Jesus answered and said to her, ‘O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.’ And her daughter was healed from that very hour.”

Thought

The Canaanite woman refused to give up. Despite obstacles, silence, and discouragement, she continued to trust Jesus and seek His mercy. Her persistence revealed a deep faith that believed Christ was her only hope.

Today, keep trusting Jesus.
Faith does not give up—it holds on until it finds mercy in the Savior.

Matthew 15:10–20

“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.” — Matthew 15:18

Thought

Jesus teaches that the greatest problem is not what enters a person from the outside, but what comes from within. Our words and actions reveal the condition of our hearts.

Matthew 15:1–9

“These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.” — Matthew 15:8

Thought

God desires more than outward religion—He wants our hearts.
True faith is not just what we say, but how closely we walk with Him.

Honor God today not only with your lips, but with your life.
