Honestly, I was going to keep quiet and just continue to pray for us all regarding this Tye Tribbett clip. But after much prayer, meditation, actually seeing the entire interview, talking it over with some trusted colleagues and ministry leaders, and getting the greenlight in my spirit to post, I submit this post to you:
Honestly, I didn't hear anything wrong with what Tye was trying to say, with the exception of perhaps it could've been a better, more astute, and educated delivery. I truly believe in these times more than ever that men and women of God who are leaders with huge platforms need to be treated like the President of the United States, and briefed on public speaking. This is to ensure that your message is as clear as it can be, while considering all ramifications and vantage points for said point. But I understand that he was walking a delicate line during that Breakfast Club interview, trying not to lose them and the listeners, while at the same time standing up for what is true. But I actually agree with what he intended to come across. He knew that he didn’t have the right way to say it and that he would be cancelled by some after saying it, which is why he held his head.
Here's a revelation: The institution of church, as we know it, is absolutely flawed and corrupt because of the people in it. And God has grace for that. Even still, we cannot shy away from the fact that Humans have made a religion out of Christianity when it was never meant to be that. Since the inception of Christianity, from the days of the Early Church in the book of Acts, until now it was meant to be a collective of believers in Jesus Christ and representatives/ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. Sure, systems are implemented to make anything operate with efficiency. But when those systems are or become legalistic, punitive, or corrupt in any way with the intent to control, manipulate, or enslave...then Houston, we have a problem. I've understood this by avid study of the scripture and by the Spirit of God, which is why I called our local church ministry, "The Church of Acts." It was to symbolize that we do not subscribe to religious acts just because it's been taught to us by Big Momma 'nem, but we subscribe to the first, true, and only pure and authentic way of being a believer. Much of how you saw it in the days of the Apostle Paul and others of the faith back then. Church, nor Christianity, was supposed to be a religion. It was supposed to be about relationship among brethren and between people and God; a Kingdom family. But we have made it so much more than that from the time Roman Catholicism and other historic factors came into play until this day where we now have more than 45,000 Christian denominations with their own "way." Talk about being divisive? Talk about division? Talk about a schism happening and folks being scattered because of confusion? Beloved, we're already divided and we did it to ourselves over time as a group of people.
It's a sad truth that most people, who believe they are following Christ, are actually following a man-made religion or an occult; and some are missing the mark completely because their religion is in direct opposition to what Christ really came for and what the church was really meant for. God have mercy on us. 🤦
This is a revelation that I've been subtly trying to teach since I've come into the knowledge of it, but that type of teaching and preaching will undoubtedly get you kicked out of some places, banned, barred, and cancelled. These places that do this without taking the time to understand and reason have adopted cult-like behaviors, tendenices, and normalities. And some don't even know it. But the truth my friends, is that much of what we've seen in the church is not what or who the actual church of God (the body of Christ) really is or meant to become. And there are some who have been blind, that are simply coming out of darkeness. Even though you may try to demonize them and use Thessalonias and say they've fallen from the faith and lost their way, the truth still remains that you've used that scripture erroneously and revival is truly happening in the hearts of those that dare to be enlightened by the Spirit of God and His Truth (the actual word of God, and not what was made up by your Grandmomma, your kin folks, or local church culture).
Much of what we've seen, and honestly, participated in are religious acts which is what I have called "the pseudo church." "The FALSE Church." I began to preach about this at our local church, "The Church of Acts," a few years ago and it honestly ruffled some feathers and challenged some people, even me and my Wife. This is one of the core reasons why I believe that God brought us to the end of that assignment so quickly. The type of hell that kicked up because of me preaching this gospel and it challenging some was beyond human comprehension.
Lastly, I, like Tye, and some others who have or are coming to the Light of God's word no longer subscribe to the submission or the operation of the "pseudo-church." I subscribe to being an Ambassador of the Kingdom of God, a believer in Jesus Christ, apart of the household of faith, the ACTUAL body of Christ. And if it's a system that seeks to bind, rather than liberate like Christ came to do, then I'm sorry I can't have anything to do with it. I won't. I can't. It's just not right. And those who haven't come into the Light of this revelation yet, that's fine...no judgement here. I too was once where you were and God had grace and mercy for me. 🙌🏼 He waited on me to come into this revelation and divorce man-made rules, and follow after Him forreal. Which is all I've ever wanted to do since my first supernatural encounter with him at 5 years old. I write more in-depth about this revelation in my upcoming new book, "The Gift of a Burden."
Now, I know that was alot. But as you can tell, I've been already pondering this thing long before Tye came out about it. I'm actually glad he spoke up. Of course, perhaps it could've been delivered better. And yes, we do have to watch and weigh our words. But truthfully, there are many who have the platform and influence (some even greater than Tye) but will not speak up or out and teach the people truth because like Tye said, they too have benefited from the "Religion of Christianity" and "The Religion of Church." The benefit is far too greater and more important to them than the souls of humanity. But that's another post for another day.
