Refuge. Stronghold. Fortress. Mighty Rock.
All through the Psalms we read the word REFUGE.
It's both used to describe the place to which we run when we seek shelter or protection, but it also describes the place of refuge itself. In the case of the Scripture, God Himself is that Refuge! We run to Him. We shelter in Him. We find hope and security in Him. This is what we will be praise God for this week during our Contemporary service at 8:30am.

Singing this during our 8:30am service today as we not only celebrate our country’s 250th anniversary, but ultimately the freedom we have through faith in Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father!

Sometimes, it’s the little things that bring the most joy…

Thank you Mc Cormick First Baptist Youth for the nice surprise I got when I locked the Coffee Shop up at the end of a busy day earlier this week. I found the little painted rocks with cute pictures and Bible versus on them lying in our window sills outside the shop. It brought me great joy and a big smile. Thank you for spreading love around our town! ❤️

Freedom! Independence! Liberty!
As we celebrate the 250th year of this country, what better way could we bless our fellow countrymen by remembering the most important freedom we have been given by God in Jesus Christ, our Savior!

Luke 4:16–19
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read. And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,
