Connectional Class Meeting: A Response for Our Time

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I greet you in the love, joy, and peace given us by God in Christ Jesus.

I am writing to announce a Connectional Class Meeting on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. As our nation navigates this season of transition, it is crucial to gather as one AME family for mutual support and spiritual nurture.

For generations, class leaders in our beloved AME Church have asked one simple but profound question: "How dost thy soul prosper?" This question has created sacred space for us to share our burdens, find strength in community, and maintain hope in challenging times.

Through this historic virtual gathering, we will:
Create sacred space for honest sharing and spiritual support
Connect in small groups led by trained facilitators
Build community across our entire connection
Find strength in our shared faith and tradition
Access resources for ongoing support

A Call for Group Facilitators
We seek experienced persons to serve as small group facilitators (Class Leaders, Chaplains, Educators, Counselors, Group Facilitators, etc.) Training will be provided to prepare you for this sacred task. To volunteer as a facilitator, please email: [email protected]

Registration information for all participants will be provided by the end of this week. We encourage you to mark your calendar and plan to participate in this important time of community care and spiritual nurture.

Let us gather virtually to tend our souls, strengthen our bonds, and find hope together in community.

Sincerely,
Reverend Dr. Roderick D. Belin, Publisher

PS: Please share this information with members who might not receive electronic communications.
