Sermon Recap – Sunday, June 20, 2025
Superintendent Perry Clark
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 12: 1
“Remember Your Creator”
Superintendent Clark delivered a powerful and heartfelt message centered around the call to remember your Creator while you are young. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 12, he reminded the congregation that life is short and filled with challenges, but the best time to build a strong relationship with God is now—while we have strength, clarity, and youth on our side. He emphasized that God should not be a last resort, but our first love and foundation.
He reminded us of God’s everlasting covenant of peace and protection. Even when we feel abandoned or overwhelmed by life’s storms, God promises to never leave or forsake us. He’s a keeper—He’s kept us through hard times, and He’ll continue to be our shield.
The message urged everyone, especially the youth, not to take life for granted. Though we may be promised 70 years, those years won’t always be easy. There will be trials, losses, and storms. But through it all, God remains faithful. Clark encouraged everyone to keep going, even when life gets tough, because God gives us strength for the journey.
He closed with a charge to thank God while we can—to give Him praise now, not just when we’re older and looking back. Don’t wait until trouble comes or time runs out to honor Him. Worship Him now. Serve Him now. Remember Him now.
Life Lesson:
Remembering God early sets the tone for a life of peace, purpose, and protection. The earlier you build your relationship with God, the stronger you’ll stand when storms come. Don’t forget your Creator—He never forgot you.
