The Peru Mission Team just received a generous $3,000 contribution from a donor outside our church family. The team will use these funds to bring tremendous blessings into the lives of many children. Some of the kids we will encounter are orphans, disabled, or living in poverty or in other types of distress. I thank God that our Peru trips have a unifying effect as so many people (inside and outside our church family) work together for the ministry of gospel proclamation. Our next Peru lunch is scheduled for June 14! —JD

SAD NEWS. Church picnic is cancelled. But we will reschedule for another time.

Reason 1: The weather forecast continues to be rainy and soggy for Sunday. Last year we got drenched.

Reason 2: VBS begins Sunday evening, so we can't have an "inside picnic" in the gym. Plus, our volunteers could use a break before the big night.

Reason 3: The Grace Life (Shadow Lake) folks are so kind and will allow us to reschedule for later in the summer or fall.
