“It’s going to cost you something to get to Jesus.”

That word from today’s sermon deserves more than an amen. It deserves an honest look at our lives.

For the woman in Mark 5, reaching Jesus meant stepping into a crowd she wasn’t supposed to be in. It meant risking rejection while she was already weak, weary, and hurting. But she reached anyway.

What are we allowing to stand in our way?

The pride that keeps us from asking for prayer? The fear of someone finding out we’re struggling? The comfort of a familiar pattern that is slowly draining us?

We can become so accustomed to what hurts us that surrender feels scarier than staying the same.

Today’s message was “It’s Time.”

Time to get honest with God. Time to ask for help. Time to take the step we keep putting off.

On Sunday, November 1, we’ll celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day and honor Pastor Rex and Jennifer. Their prayers, encouragement, and faithful love mean so much to our church family, and we’re looking forward to showing them how thankful we are.

“I’m going to be different today because of grace.” Pastor Boyd Banks

Today’s message reminded us that Jesus died for us before we got better. We couldn’t earn His grace, but He freely offered it. And the grace we’ve received should shape how we treat others.

Before we judge, remember where God brought us from. Before we react, remember the patience He has shown us. Every day gives us an opportunity to reflect Jesus in our words, our choices, and our relationships.

What would look different this week if we offered others the same grace God has given us?

Today, Pastor Rex reminded us that greatness in God’s kingdom begins with a servant’s heart. While the world encourages us to seek power, status, and recognition, Jesus calls us to serve, sacrifice, and be like Him.

To those who faithfully serve at Restoration Church, thank you. We see the early arrivals, the preparation, the time spent teaching our children, the cleanup afterward, and the willingness to show up after a long day. Behind each of those acts is someone giving their time and love so others can encounter Jesus.

You may never know what your faithfulness means to someone. A child is learning to trust God because you keep showing up. A family feels welcome because you noticed them. Someone finds encouragement because you took time to listen.

God remembers your work and the love you show in serving His people. Your faithfulness matters.

And each of us has something to give. At home, at work, and in our church, we can reflect the heart of Jesus by noticing a need and choosing to help.
