Small Calling, Big Impact — Your Yes Matters

Today we were reminded that God doesn’t need our lives to look big for Him to use them in a BIG way. He simply needs our yes.

📖 Luke 1:26–38 NKJV

1. SAY YES TO GOD
📖 Luke 1:30–31 | Isaiah 6:8

Mary’s yes changed the course of history. God may place something in front of us that feels bigger than what we think we’re capable of—but our job isn’t to have every answer. Our job is to say, “Yes, Lord. Send me.”

Your yes could be the beginning of something far greater than you can see right now.

2. OBEY BEFORE UNDERSTANDING
📖 Luke 1:34–35 | Hebrews 11:8

Mary didn’t have all the details. Abraham didn’t know where God was leading him. Yet they chose obedience.

Sometimes faith means taking the next step before we understand the entire plan. We don’t have to understand everything to trust the One who does.

3. LET GOD USE YOU
📖 Luke 1:36–38 | Ephesians 2:10 | 1 Peter 4:10

God has already placed purpose, gifts, and opportunities within each of us. What may seem small to us can have an impact we may never fully see.

A simple act of obedience.
A conversation.
An invitation.
A helping hand.
A prayer.
A willing heart.

You may think your calling is small, but in God’s hands, your obedience can make a BIG impact.

Your yes matters.
Your obedience matters.
Your willingness matters.

Don’t wait until you feel ready.
Don’t wait until you understand everything.
Don’t underestimate what God can do with what you place in His hands.

Say yes. Step out in faith. Let God use you.

Our words have power.

Sometimes we speak without realizing just how deeply our words can cut. A criticism, a judgment, a lie, or a careless comment may only take seconds to say but the wound it leaves behind can last for years.

Before you speak, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it loving?

We never know what someone is already carrying behind their smile. Be careful with your words. Choose grace over judgment, encouragement over criticism, and love over hate.

You may not remember the words you spoke, but someone else may carry them for years.

Let your words bring healing, not another wound.
