Day 2: The Bottom Is Not the End
Devotional
Three days. That is how long Jonah sat in the belly of a fish before he finally cried out to God. Three days of darkness, of the smell of stomach acid, of complete helplessness. And yet, it was in that place, not on a mountaintop, not in a moment of spiritual clarity, that Jonah finally prayed. Sometimes God allows us to reach the absolute end of ourselves. Not because He has walked away, but because He knows that the bottom is sometimes the only place we will finally look up. Maybe you are in a season that feels like the belly of the fish right now. A relationship that fell apart. A job that disappeared. A habit that has swallowed you whole. It feels like the end, but it is not. It is actually the place where God does some of His most significant work. You are not too far gone. You are not too broken. The same God who heard Jonah in the deep hears you right now. And He is not waiting for you to clean yourself up before He responds.

Have you ever experienced a moment where hitting rock bottom actually became the turning point that drew you closer to God, and what did that teach you about His character?

Prayer
Father, when I feel like I am at the bottom with nowhere left to turn, remind me that You are already there. Help me to look up. Amen.

Day 1: Running From the One Who Already Knows
Devotional
Have you ever tried to outrun something you knew was right? Maybe it was a conversation you kept avoiding, a decision you kept delaying, or a calling you kept dismissing. Jonah did the same thing. God told Him to go to Nineveh, and Jonah went the opposite direction. Not because he was afraid. Because he already knew how the story would end if he obeyed, and he did not like that ending. There is something uncomfortably familiar about that. We do not always run from God out of doubt. Sometimes we run because we understand exactly what obedience will cost us, and we are not ready to pay it. But here is the thing about running from God. You cannot get far enough. His reach is longer than your stride, and His grace is wider than your worst detour. He is not chasing you down to punish you. He is pursuing you because He has something for you that only you can carry. You do not have to have it all together to respond to His call. You just have to be willing to stop running.

"Seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul." - Psalm 34:4

Day 4: He Reaches First
Devotional
Most of us know what it feels like to fall short. To say the thing we should not have said, to make the choice we knew was wrong, or to drift quietly away from the person we wanted to be. And in those moments, shame has a way of convincing us to hide. But here is what is remarkable about Jesus. He does not wait for you to clean yourself up before He reaches out. He convicts, yes. He is honest about sin. But in the same breath, He extends His hand. Repentance is not a punishment. It is a doorway. It is the moment you stop running and turn back toward the One who never stopped looking for you. And when you turn, you will find that He is already there, offering forgiveness, restoration, and the fullness of His Holy Spirit. You do not have to earn your way back. You just have to come back. Every failure is met with grace. Every honest confession is met with mercy. That is not weakness. That is the gospel. He has not given up on you. He never will.

Day 3: You Were Made for This

It is easy to look at your life and feel like you do not quite measure up. Maybe your past is messy, your resume is thin, or your failures feel too recent to forget. You wonder if God can really use someone like you. Here is what is true. Your confidence was never meant to rest in your own ability, your background, or your track record. It rests in who you belong to. God did not save you and then leave you to figure out the rest on your own. He created you with intention. Before you were born, He had already prepared good works for you to walk in. You are not an accident. You are not a placeholder. You are His workmanship. That word, workmanship, carries the idea of a masterpiece. Something crafted with care and purpose. That is how God sees you, not as a project He regrets, but as a work He is still completing. Your ability is not determined by who you are. It is determined by who you believe in. And if you belong to Jesus, He who began a good work in you will see it through to the end.

Day 2: Hard Things, Holy Purposes

Nobody signs up for the hard seasons. The loss, the waiting, the disappointment, the doors that close without explanation. We want to understand why, and when we cannot, doubt creeps in. Paul understood hard things. Prison. Beatings. Shipwrecks. Snake bites. His life was not a highlight reel. And yet he wrote with a kind of stubborn, joyful confidence that is hard to explain unless you believe what he believed. He believed that difficulty placed in God's hands does not go to waste. Hard things do not disqualify God's plan. They often become part of it. That is not a passive acceptance of pain. It is an active trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. The circumstance that feels like a setback may be the very thing God is using to move His purposes forward. You do not have to pretend the hard thing is not hard. You just have to trust the One who holds it. He has not lost the plot. He has not forgotten you. And He is not finished yet.
