Four boys were playing in a flooded creek when they saw a little girl disappear beneath the water. What happened next wasn't planned or discussed — they simply went after her. ❤️
Heavy rain had caused Hubble Creek at Jackson City Park in Missouri to rise over a low-water bridge.
Aiden, Elias, Isaiah and Alex were playing nearby when they noticed a young girl named Kinsley wading through the shallow-looking water.
Then suddenly, she was gone.
Aiden spotted her hand near the bridge and immediately jumped into the rushing water.
The 11-year-old grabbed Kinsley and tried to pull her high enough to breathe.
But the current was so powerful that it began dragging Aiden under too.
That's when his three friends jumped in after them.
Working together, the four boys fought against the current and eventually managed to pull Kinsley free and get her safely back onto the bridge.
She had been underwater for around 15 seconds.
Kinsley was taken to hospital and, thankfully, was later released without injury.
Her mother, Casey, knew there was no way she could properly repay the four boys who had risked themselves to save her daughter.
But her family owned a local restaurant, Kenny's Flippin' Burgers, so she offered them something she could give.
The boys were told they could eat there free for the rest of their lives.
Casey told them there was simply no amount of money that could ever be placed on what they'd done.
Four boys jumped into the water to make sure one little girl got to go home to her family. Free burgers for life still doesn't feel like enough. ❤️
