Learning at St George's

At St George's, we believe that growing in the Christian life includes increasing understanding. Jesus calls us to love God not only with heart, soul, and strength, but also with our mind (Matt 22.37). Every week after our Sunday service, we gather for a time of Christian Formation: learning, discussion, and fellowship, often with good food and always with thoughtful conversation.

Our Christian Formation leader is Mr. Joshua Sexton (pictured with his wife, Charlotte, and Bishop Morales). Josh is a native of SE Oklahoma and a graduate student in New Testament and Early Christianity with the University of Aberdeen. Join us this Sunday after our 10:00 AM liturgy as Josh introduces a discussion series on C.S. Lewis's _God in the Dock_!

Holy Communion at St George's

Worship is an encounter where God comes to us and meets us. We believe that not only does he do this in Holy Scripture, but also in the sacrament of Holy Communion. God comes to us, gives us of himself in the blessed bread and wine, recreating the image of his Son in us. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Communion at St George's. Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM for Holy Communion -- pictured is an example of the bread made each week for our liturgy!

Scripture at St George’s

"We allure the people to read and to hear God's word." These words from the 16th century Anglican bishop John Jewel remain true today. The Bible is at the heart of our worship and discipleship. Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM to hear at least three Scripture readings, with a sermon that thoughtfully considers how the Bible reveals who God is, who he has made us to be, and how we should live in this world.
