MAYVILLE FOOD PANTRY ADDS SATURDAY HOURS
The Mayville Food Pantry (St. Paul’s Episcopal Food Pantry), located at 99 S. Erie St. in Mayville NY in the Cheryl Steinbach Outreach Center, is adding some additional open hours. The first Saturday hours will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 and Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Additional days may be available depending on need, beginning in November.
These additional hours are being offered to assist those families who, because of work obligations, are unable to come to the Pantry during the regular Pantry open hours. The regular Pantry open days and hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., closing for major holidays and when the school closes for inclement weather. Those coming for assistance should bring ID for all members of the household and residency proof. The Mayville Food Pantry serves those residing within the Chautauqua Lake Central School District. Assistance is based on income guidelines, starting with a gross annual income of $35,910.00 or less for a household of one, with increasing annual income guidelines for additional household sizes. Income is attested to when coming to the Pantry, with no proof of income required.

“Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive is Saturday May 9th
By leaving non-perishable food items at mailboxes on Saturday May 9, residents can help fill our local food pantry. Coordinated each year by United Way and the National Association of Letter Carriers, “Stamp Out Hunger” is the largest single-day food drive in the country. Held each year on the second Saturday in May, the collection drive provides much needed food to pantries throughout the United States. Best of all, donations remain local – meaning food given in Mayville will end up with local families. Participation is as simple as leaving non-perishable food for postal carriers.
Last year the Mayville Post Office collected 28 tubs and many more bags of non-perishable food, totaling 750 pounds, which was then donated to the Mayville Food Pantry.
