The four students in our high school program spent time fishing in the Rock River this afternoon in front of church. Our high schoolers participate in a rotating practical arts curriculum on Wednesday afternoons. The first quarter of the school year, they studied auto mechanics. In quarters two and three, they studied personal finance and investing. In this fourth quarter, they have been working their way through the outdoor life component of our practical arts curriculum. This has included learning a number of survival skills, fire starting, trap setting, plant and tree identification, and, today, fishing.
