Wednesday, Part 2

Another great day at our 2025 Maysville Wesleyan Kids Camp - Jesus Loves Me!!

The kids are enjoying the activities, games, excels, discipleship classes, and the services. Tonight Pastor Gene spoke about how God’s love was shown through Jesus washing the disciples feet and how that is a symbol of Him humbling Himself and dying on the cross, all to wash away our sins.

He illustrated this by washing Mr. Cody’s feet, and then having the team leaders/teen workers to wash the feet of the campers and anyone else wanting to participate.

This was an awesome event experience for everyone. Many of the campers thought it was silly, at first, but they began to see and feel God’s love and the love of their counselors.

Pastor Gene ended the service by asking everyone to join him at the altar and offer up a prayer of thanks to God. The altar was packed. He ended the prayer by having everyone shout, “Thank You, God!!”

God continues to be moving in the lives of our campers AND our staff!!

Our afterglow tonight was our annual talent show. More pics will be shared in a “Part 2” post.

Day two of the 2025 Maysville Wesleyan Kids Camp - Jesus Loves Me!!

More kids at the altar tonight!! We have had several reports of kids getting saved!! God is on the move!!

Tonight, we had a visit from the President of the Maysville Gideon Camp. He shared, briefly, with the kids about the work of the Gideons and presented each of our campers with a pocket New Testament.

Then, our afterglow for tonight was a Circus, put on by Filbert the Clown (Garrett Sherman). He did an outstanding job of entertaining the kids and sharing the salvation message.

Keep praying for the campers and staff of our camp!! The devil may be trying to attack, but our God is GREATER!!

Here are a few pics from our first day of the 2025 Maysville Wesleyan Kids Camp - Jesus Loves Me!

We have 70 campers and 67 workers!! God is already doing a work. We had several to go to the altar tonight to discover more of God’s love for them.

God is on the move!! Hallelujah!!

Reminder to our Kids Camp Staff:

Staff Orientation is at 4pm on Sunday.

We changed things up a bit this year. The majority of kids will arrive on Monday for registration.

Just a reminder to all of our camp staff:

1. All teens must be recommended by their pastor, be approved by the Kids Camp Committee, and have a pastoral referral form filled out.

2. ALL workers must be approved by the Committee, must complete the registration form, and pay the registration fee.

3. Anyone, 18+, must have a current background check on file. This applies to anyone staying on the grounds during kids camp. This can be done through our Protect My Ministry link, if you don't already have one. (Protect My Ministry background checks are only valid for one year.)

4. All Staff will be required to sign a Staff Code of Conduct Form. (This form has been adapted from the code of conduct form that the youth sign for youth camp.)

5. Everyone must abide by all Camp and District Standing Rules.
