The Vineyard Workers Matthew 20:1-16…
The Kingdom of heaven. He has a plan for His kingdom and His church. He doesn’t necessarily reveal all of His plan or intentions ahead of time. There is work to do in the kingdom. It’s the Christians job. It is fair and it is right. Those who do the work will be rewarded fairly by the Boss. The Bossman went out early. These first chosen were ready before dawn and were diligent to find work. These sacrificed early morning sleep to get out of bed and make themselves available. As always in God’s kingdom there is work to be done and plenty to do. It is God’s decision and His only to give more or less according to His sovereign grace. He will pay whatever is right. For Christian business owners this is especially applicable. For there are many who do not treat their employees right. The text says He went out many times. There is always a need for more workers in the kingdom, because the harvest is plentiful. One day there will be rest, but now He calls us to work. “Why have you been standing here all day and doing nothing?” In the church today there are many people like this. Passive. Waiting to be asked. There is always work available. But don’t demand a certain position or a certain job. Notice the grumbling instead of thanksgiving. Be thankfull for God’s mercy and grace. We should not be jealous when God treats others with mercy and extends great blessings to them. We should rejoice with them. Never compare ourselves with others. There are always some who want to compare jobs or salaries or achievements. How about when the Church down the road is growing more? They have a better Pastor. They have more to offer for me and my children…. “I confess I have been there”…But-Comparing leads to coveting. Coveting leads to greed. Greed lead to discontentment. Discontentment leads to complaining. God dispenses His blessings how He sees fit. He does so in a generous way, not necessarily equal. To God be All the Glory and Honor!!!!

Jeremiah Chapter 12…
Jeremiah Complains And Questions…
Verses 1-4
God’s Reply….
Verses 5-6
God’s Sorrow…
Verses 7-13
God’s Message To The Other Nations…
Verses 14-17
God didn’t give Jeremiah a full answer to his questions in this chapter. God is not obligated to justify His wisdom and Sovereignty. Even today we have many questions to why all the evil in the world. But questions most of the time solve nothing. What Jeremiah needed and what we need today is not answers but for God to be “The Answer” to our needs. God’s answer to Jeremiah was a rebuke of his impatience and a reality check of how much he needed God to be his strength and to finish the race.Just as we need Him today!

“Many who are first will be last, and the last first”
In an old Romish legend, contains a great truth. There was a brother who preached very mightily, and who had won many souls to Christ, and it was revealed to him one night, in a dream, that in heaven he would have no reward for all that he had done. He asked to whom the reward would go; and an angel told him that it would go to an old man who used to sit on the pulpit stairs, and pray for him. Well, it may be so, though it is more likely that both would share their Master’s praise. We shall not be rewarded, however, simply according to our apparent success.” (Spurgeon)

“Therefore; “Previous verses” I will always be ready to “remind”you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been strengthened in the “truth” which is present with you. I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to “stir” you up by way of “reminder” knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has indicated to me. And I will also be diligent that at any time after my departure you will be able to “recall” these things to mind.”
