Tasha Cobbs’ song “The Church I Grew Up In” captures the essence of my childhood in Bethel of Mt. Sinai - Mayo, Florida and Christian Tabernacle - Perry, Florida. These young ladies from the Faith Club of Alms of Bethel Community Development Center’s Boys & Girls Club-Mayo Unit really did an amazing job! This performance was commissioned by Director Donna Massey primarily in honor of her pastor, my mother, the late and great Elder Carolyn Demps and the National Youth Convention happening this weekend in Mount Sinai Holy Church of America Inc.
