Abraham is remembered as one of the Bible’s greatest examples of faith—but his journey was not flawless. He experienced moments of courageous obedience, but also seasons of fear, impatience, weakness, and failure. Yet through it all, God remained faithful.

Join us this Sunday for a new sermon series through the life of Abraham as we discover what it means to follow God when the road is uncertain, the waiting is long, and the outcome is beyond our control.

Just a reminder that there will be no Sunday School tomorrow morning (July 19) as we wrap up hosting the UNITE Shelby Mission Camp this week.

We hope you’ll still join us for our morning worship service as we gather to worship the Lord together at 10:30 am. We look forward to seeing you then!

🗓️Additional info added July 8🗓️

⚠️Important rail crossing closure information⚠️
You may have seen the crossties staged along the rail lines in Alabaster over the last few days. CSX has informed us it plans to close almost 👉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔👈 one of its rail crossings in the city on a staggered schedule beginning July 9 to replace crossties along the tracks and repave crossings.
CSX estimates each crossing will be closed for 48-72 hours, with the exception of Highway 119 at U.S. 31 and Highway 119 near the new library and rec center (24 hours):
Industrial Road - July 9
Eighth Avenue Northwest - July 9
11th Avenue Southwest - July 9
Second Place Northwest - July 10
First Avenue West - July 10
Highway 119 at U.S. 31 - July 10 (24-hour closure)
Highway 119 near the new library/rec center - July 10 (24-hour closure)
Pony Drive - July 10
Both crossings on Fulton Springs Road - July 11
Shady Acres Road - July 11
Snow Drive - July 12
Highway 87 - July 13
Darvins Road - July 13

🚧While both crossings on Highway 119 are closed beginning July 10, Highway 119 will be closed to through traffic between U.S. 31 and Thompson Road. Traffic in this area will be detoured onto Fulton Springs Road.

ℹ️Once work begins, we will be monitoring the crossings 24/7, and will post up-to-the-minute info on closings/openings on the Alabaster Police Department page.

⏱️Exact timing of each crossing's closure is difficult to predict with any certainty. The crews doing the work are simply moving down the rail line replacing crossties as they go. When they get to a crossing, they close it, tear out the old asphalt and repave it. When the asphalt is fully cured, they reopen it.

🚧While the two crossings on Highway 119 are closed from July 10-11, businesses, churches and residences between the two crossings can still be accessed via First Street Southwest.

🚧While the 11th Avenue Southwest crossing is closed, City Hall and the Alabaster Senior Center can be accessed via Maintenance Drive (this gravel road connects Buck Creek Park to the City Hall parking lot).

On a side note, if you haven't scheduled your summer vacation yet, July 9-17 may be a good time to get out of town for a while 😅
