Out of an abundance of caution due to the approaching winter storm, all City of Sumter parks and gardens, along with the Palmetto Tennis Center, will be closed on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

City Administration is closely monitoring the approaching storm with Sumter County Emergency Management. Sanitation services may be delayed or temporarily halted on Monday if conditions are unsafe. Crews will resume service as soon as possible. Please secure your carts and stay patient.

Open 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Operating January 22 through January 30, weather dependent

Will remain open until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 27
