Kenneth Wayne McGee, known to many as “The Mayor” age 75 of Piney, VA, passed away Friday August 7, 2026. He was born on December 19, 1950, to the late James T. and Frances Rogers McGee. Kenneth was preceded in death by wife of 39 years, Maggie McGee; brothers, Hal McGee, June McGee, and Donnie McGee; sister Barbara McGee Grubb; grandchild, Baby McGee.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Beth McGee; grandchildren, Emma McGee, and Elliott McGee; brother, John McGee; sisters, Wilma Burks, Alma Blevins and Jane McGee; many nieces, nephews, his beloved Senior Citizens Groups, and Fort Chiswell Church of God Family.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Fort Chiswell Church of God conducted by Reverend Kenneth Quesenberry. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until service time. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday August 13, 2026, at the St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
