Maranatha Baptist Church We are a Non-denominational, Bible-believing, Baptist Church with a heart for making a difference in our community. What Does Maranatha mean?

This word is used only once in the Bible (I Corinthians 16:22). It is actually a word that comes directly from the ancient Syriac language. It means: "Our Lord is coming." Although the word itself is only used once, the concept is taught often through scripture. The "Coming" to which the apostle is referring is the one in which He sets up His Kingdom and executes judgment on the wicked. So why would a church name have the word "Maranatha" in it. The word became a greeting between early Christians just to remind them that the only Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ would one day make everything right. He was going to return and relieve them from the persecution they were facing. One of the main messages of the church is to preach that people should turn to God and to remind them that if they don't the consequences are not pleasant. Our message is a message of Grace and Mercy. But make no mistake- if you reject God's wonderful Grace and Mercy - God will reject you.

Happy Sunday! ☀️

Here’s your reminder: it’s not just the pastor who needs to prepare his heart this morning—we should be preparing ours, too.

Take a few moments this morning to quiet your heart and get ready for worship, the preaching of God’s Word, and the opportunity to gather together as a church family.

If you’re struggling this morning, remember the words of Jesus in today’s verse: His grace IS sufficient. Whatever you may be carrying today, His grace is enough.

Come ready. Come expectant. Come with a heart prepared to hear from God.

Today, we are excited to welcome the Yansom family, missionaries to Papua New Guinea!

As we prepare our hearts for today’s service, consider the words of Mark 16:15.
As believers we have been given the privilege and responsibility to share the Gospel to everyone. Through the power and command of Jesus Christ, we can lead others to the cross and share the hope of salvation found in Him.

May we be reminded today that the call to reach the world with the Gospel is not just for missionaries—it is a calling for every believer.

We invite you to join us today! Come worship with us, hear from the Yansom family, and be encouraged by what God is doing around the world. We’d love to have you with us!

This Sunday, join us as we welcome Braxstone, Brianna, and Konden Yansom, missionaries to Papua New Guinea! 🌎📍

The Yansom family has a heart to share the Gospel and strengthen churches throughout Papua New Guinea. Their goal is to establish a church camp in Port Moresby, where they can partner with local churches through youth camps, outreach, church planting, and training.

Join us this Sunday to hear more about their ministry and how God is working through them in Papua New Guinea!

As you prepare for the service this morning, take a moment to quiet your heart and remember the promise God gave Moses: “Certainly I will be with thee.” Before God called Moses to lead His people, He reminded him that he would not go alone. The same God who promised His presence then is with us today.

As you enter His house this morning, set aside the distractions of the week. Come with a heart ready to listen, worship, and respond to what God has for you.

As we prepare our hearts for today’s service, consider this verse.

When a fellow believer is struggling, how can we respond in a way that reflects Christ’s love and grace? May we each consider how God is calling us to encourage, help, and restore those around us.

See you soon!🙌

Life is full of heartache, but the only true cure for a heavy heart is allowing His joy to fill us.

Last Sunday, Pastor Haifley left us with a powerful thought: Are you enjoying your Christian life? What a great question to reflect on as we go into another week.

Join us tomorrow as Pastor Haifley continues to challenge and encourage us with his message, “Giving Back What Sin Has Taken.”

You won’t want to miss this! Come ready to worship, be encouraged, and discover the joy that comes from walking with Christ. We’ll see you tomorrow! 🙌
