NOT NORMAL | WEEK 6
CHILDLIKE FAITH
Pastor Brad Brown

Sermon Recap:
Jesus broke religious and cultural barriers by welcoming children who were considered unimportant and insignificant in the ancient world. The disciples tried to turn children away from Jesus, reflecting the normal cultural attitudes of their day, but Jesus became angry with them for blocking people from coming to him freely. Jesus elevated children by embracing them, blessing them, and declaring that the Kingdom of God belongs to them. True faith is not about religious performance but about coming to Jesus with open, dependent, and trusting hands like a child. Religion builds walls and creates gatekeepers, but Jesus tears those walls down and invites everyone to come to him just as they are.

Jesus didn't ignore the interruptions —
He stopped FOR them.

He pushed past religion to get to a relationship.
He welcomed the ones everyone else dismissed.

And this Sunday? We're diving into one of the most powerful — and unexpected — things Jesus ever said about the Kingdom of Heaven... and WHO it actually belongs to. You might be surprised. 😏

WE HOPE TO
SEE YOU AT CHURCH
THIS MORNING AT 10 AM! 🙌

Picture this: A man with a shriveled hand. Religious leaders watching like hawks. The Sabbath—their most sacred rule. And Jesus? He CHOSE LOVE OVER LAW. 💪

The Pharisees wanted compliance.
Jesus wanted FREEDOM.

They offered condemnation.
He brought COMPASSION.

They protected tradition.
He SHATTERED it with TRUTH.

Because HE WASN'T JUST A RULE-FOLLOWER—HE WAS THE TRUTH, THE WAY, AND THE LIFE!

Today Pastor Brad continues our NOT NORMAL series, diving into the moment Jesus didn't just break religious rules—He EXPOSED them. This sermon series IS a WAKE-UP CALL and REMINDER for all of us!

🎵 Powerful worship
💬 A message that is REAL & RAW
🔓 Freedom from religion
💥 An invite to live RADICALLY like Jesus did

What if the most spiritual thing you do today is break free from "normal"? What if compassion matters more than checking boxes? What if YOU were made for MORE than playing it safe?

Everyone welcome!
(Yes, even you—ESPECIALLY you.)

Come as you are.
Leave TRANSFORMED.

FWC SERMON SERIES | NOT NORMAL
WEEK 2: DO YOU WANT TO GET WELL?

Sunday, May 3, 2026
Speaker: Tad Freezeland

SERMON RECAP:

Are you feeling stuck in your life, weighed down by regrets or struggles you think you can't overcome? In this week’s message, we explore the transformative question Jesus asked the man at the pool: "Do you want to get well?"

Using a powerful scene from The Chosen, we dive into how Jesus disrupts normalcy, inviting us to courageously rise up from our challenges. We unpack five steps to get off the ground—identifying false assumptions, confronting hard truths, doing scary things, listening to the right voices, and making different choices.

Join us as we empower each other to carry our stories into the world and embrace the not-normal life that Jesus calls us to!
