This week is the Western NC United Methodist Church Annual Conference at Lake Junaluska. The theme for 2026 is “Rebuild my Church.” We have close to 20 delegates from our church, including clergy, laity, and Metro District At-Large delegates. We invite your prayers for our shared ministry together.

The Town of Matthews Juneteenth Celebration will be at the Community Center on Thursday, June 18 from 5:00- 8:30 PM.

The whole community is invited to join the conversation & activities. There will be a group of panelists representing African American culture & traditions, a documentary viewing, food, and vendors on-site.

🔷Our Hope for Minds & Hearts focus for June is Men’s Mental Health.

🔷Statistics show that men are often less likely to seek help for depression or anxiety due to societal expectations. We want to create a space where vulnerability is seen as a strength. Let’s support the fathers, brothers, and sons in our congregation by encouraging honest dialogue and emotional support.

Get creative with United Kids this summer 🎨🧪 Starting this Sunday (June 14), children in Kindergarten through 6th Grade will get to use their hands to explore God's love in new ways! Because this Sunday is Family Worship, there will be NO SMSG at 9:30AM.

Meet on the Playground at 10:50 for popsicles and family fun, and then pick up your kiddo(s) from Room 106 following the 11AM service hour*!
