“Invite the children in your life into conversations about faith, into wonder and awe about why the world is the way it is. And then don’t answer their questions too quickly. Invite them into wonder.”

Shared by Deacon Dr. Mindy Makant at the North Carolina Synod Gathering, this invitation reflects the heart of And God Says It Is Good, a new six-year synod initiative centered on the imagination, questions, and full humanity of children ages 3–10. The project invites congregations, families, rostered ministers, and children into God’s creative and redeeming work through curiosity, storytelling, creativity, and wonder.

The initiative includes downloadable faith milestones for home and congregational use, “Consider the Stars” half-day camps for children this summer, and opportunities for congregations to host camps in their own communities.
