Daily Bible Reading for Friday - Ezra 4

Since the time that Adam & Eve rebelled against God, God said there would strife (“enmity”) between mankind and the devil. We expect this, but know that Jesus has won the victory, but for now we will live with that opposition. Ezra and God’s people experience this, even after first being given permission, it later is taken away. God still reigns. The temple will be built in time, but more important Jesus will come and the temple would have His Body will be destroyed at the cross, and later resurrected on Easter morning. Wait, be patient, be hopeful, and be vigilant and busy doing God’s will.
