It has been a week.
While the heaviness of the world can lead us to a variety of responses, let us be encouraged and motivated to build into our children, to disciple and counsel them in God’s word, for “the word of the Lord endures forever” 1 Peter 1:25.

Let that be reassurance to you as parents as you teach your kids to turn to God when there is confusion,fear, heartbreak, and hurting in every day life circumstances, in the church and in the world. May their assurance in God grow stronger, so that when they face the world they stand firm on the rock, the cornerstone, their savior who has loved them from beginning to end and will be their refuge, their peace, their stronghold.

As parents we are given a beautifully impactful and intentional role to raise up our children. Rise to the occasion, instruct them in the ways of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6).
Read them God’s word, sing God’s word with them, let them ask the hard questions, pray for them and teach them to pray with you, so that with or without you, God can and will sustain them no matter what is happening in the world and their individual lives.

Fear is gripping
Death is inevitable
The world is more and more divided
But the word of “the Lord endures forever” 1Peter 1:25
