Earlier today we sent our youth off to the 2026 Steubenville Lone Star Conference! 🙏❤️

As they begin this incredible weekend of faith, friendship, worship and encounters with Christ, we ask our parish family to keep them in your prayers. This year's theme, "Worthy," reminds us that our value does not come from the world, but from God.

"The battle is the Lord's..." — 1 Samuel 17:47

Just as David trusted God in the face of giants, may our youth discover that they are deeply loved, chosen and worthy in the eyes of Christ. May this weekend strengthen their faith, open their hearts to God's voice and remind them that no challenge is greater than the God who walks beside them.

Safe travels to our teens and chaperones. We can't wait to hear how God moves in your hearts this weekend! ❤️‍🔥✝️👑

Today, on World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests, we give thanks to God for the gift of our priests and especially for Father Francis.

A priest's life is a beautiful "yes" to God, a calling to set aside his own plans and dedicate himself completely to serving Christ and His Church. As St. John Vianney reminds us, "A priest is not a priest for himself; he is a priest for you."

Today, let us lift Father Francis and all priests in prayer. Consider offering a Rosary, a Divine Mercy Chaplet, a Holy Hour or simply lighting a candle for them. Most importantly, take a moment to let your priest know you are praying for him. Your prayers and encouragement mean more than you may realize.

Thank you, Father Francis, for your faithful service, your guidance, your prayers and the many ways you lead our parish family closer to Christ.

May God continue to bless, strengthen and protect you always. Amen. 🙏🏼

Bishop Avilés encourages everyone to unite in prayer this Thursday as he and the U.S. bishops virtually celebrate the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

🌴🦜 Registration is open! Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at Rainforest Falls VBS! 🦋🌺

Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids will dive into a lifelong adventure discovering the nature of God. Throughout the week, they’ll explore what it means to be rooted in a relationship with God, their Creator, and find a safe place in life’s storms.

Upcoming kindergarten through 5th graders are invited to join us July 6–10 for a week filled with faith, fun, music, games and exciting rainforest adventures as we discover God's amazing love!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our Steubenville BBQ & Bingo Fundraiser a success!

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Jim & Christina Martinez and Eliseo & Michelle Herrera for their generous donation of all the meat for the BBQ. Thank you to Mary Garza for providing the rice, Linda Flores for the beans, Maria Gonzalez & Yadi Eguia for desserts and to all of the other parents who donated the trimmings, drinks and other supplies that helped make the meal complete.

We are also incredibly grateful to the parents who volunteered their time before, during and after the event. Your willingness to serve made all the difference.

A special shout-out goes to Eliseo Herrera, Paul Holdiness, Oscar Estrada and Jesse Rojas for spending hours cooking in the South Texas heat to prepare a wonderful meal for our community. Your hard work and dedication to our youth and parish did not go unnoticed.

Most importantly, thank you to Father Francis and everyone who attended, supported, donated, volunteered and prayed for this fundraiser. Our youth are truly blessed by your generosity and encouragement. Your support helps provide opportunities for them to grow in faith, fellowship and service.
